We love talking shop, and believe the best work always starts with just that. Open, honest, enthusiastic and passionate conversations about the thing that interests you the most. If you’d like to kick off a conversation, we’d love to hear from you.
ShopTalk London started with a pub conversation after work. One of hundreds of conversations where we found ourselves talking shop.
Those conversations have taken us on some amazing adventures, from part-owning a pub in Mayfair to the international terminal at SFO, to wearing hard hats planning exciting new start-up projects.
We love the entrepreneurial spirit and surround ourselves with people who have it in abundance. Whether you’re a start-up, a challenger or an industry giant looking to spark a change, we’d love to start a conversation. Let’s talk.
James & Paul
The project launched with a simple mission to open the doors of FTSE 350 executive committees to women. Recent research by The Hampton-Alexander Review has highlighted that there is still a considerable gender imbalance in the higher echelons. Working closely with Founder Katie Lichfield (Former Executive Director of the Financial Times), we were asked to develop a brand from scratch, covering brand strategy, guidelines, name, logo and event materials.
I approached ShopTalk with an idea for an awards programme that would make a real difference. From scratch, they have created the tenets on which the whole organisation hangs and totally nailed the messaging and spirit. We now have a strong brand that gives us total credibility as women who mean business.Katie Litchfield, Founder & CEO
The key starting point for the brand work was to identify the hero brand pillars that would support a cohesive ethos and visual framework for the future. The four pillars – Women Belong, Straight Talking, Empower & Look Up – confidently look towards the future and provide a platform for the awards and expansion across London, New York & Singapore. This lead us to WeQual – an abbreviated portmanteau of Women Equal Business.
WeQual has been set up to empower women to stride confidently into more senior positions, challenge the male-dominated culture of these executive committees and, ultimately, improve business for everyone. The success of WeQual continues to exceed expectation. With sponsors for the London Awards ceremony including an eclectic mix ranging from Just Eat and EDF to the London Stock Exchange and Rolls Royce. The event is now planning to be introduced in New York & Singapore next year.
