ShopTalk London started with a pub conversation after work. One of hundreds of conversations where we found ourselves talking shop.
Those conversations have taken us on some amazing adventures, from part-owning a pub in Mayfair to the international terminal at SFO, to wearing hard hats planning exciting new start-up projects.

Last week the team attended ‘Everything has been done before’, an exhibition hosted by Acrylicize, a collective of artists, designers and craftsmen. 16 artists created brand new works around the theme, playing around in the space between art and design, creating bespoke pieces. What effect on creativity and authenticity of an artwork does living in the age of social media have, where we can see what everyone else is doing all the time?
This was an opportunity for the ShopTalk team to meet up with other creatives in various areas of art and design to discuss these topics. It was a good chance to get involved with a side of design that we are not directly involved in, and to potentially take some of these ideas and perspectives to apply to our own work.
